Dear Collaborators,
NOAA 12822 has remained dormant since the last message despite the sustained C-level activity over the preceding days. The region retains its quadrupole structure and is now classified as a beta-gamma region, which may indicate sheering between the leading and trailing spots. Major Flare Watch shall remain in effect, with further C-level activity likely and chance of an M-class flare over the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12822 on 10-May-2021 at 11:30 UT is:
N18E38, ( -557", 333" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
