Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is extremely low. An unspotted plage region has rotated over the South East limb while the visible disk remains devoid of spots. No significant X-ray flares have occurred since the last message and no change in flare activity is expected in the next 24-hour period. The Max Millennium Program continues to support coordination of observations during the Parker Solar Probe (PSP) 8th perihelion passage. The target stays on the Eastern edge of the Northern hemisphere coronal hole that is the model-consensus magnetic-footpoint location which PSP is co-rotating with.
The approximate position of this region on 3-May-2021 at 19:00 UT is:
N12W60 , ( 807", 229" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
