MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The target region, now numbered NOAA 2002, developed rapidly since the last message. 2002 is currently displaying a D-type/beta-gamma-delta sunspot group with an east-west magnetic inversion line. The tiny delta configuration is located within the intermediate portion of the region. 2002 was the source of several C-class events and two M-class events. The largest was an M1.4 at 03/08/23:41 UT. C-class events expected with another M-class event probable in the next 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 2002 on March 09 at 16:30 UT is: S19E54 (Solar X = -740", Solar Y = -244")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
