Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The current level of solar activity is moderate. Yesterday's target (NOAA 11974) has continued to emerge new flux, especially within its intermediate and North-East portions. Since the previous message, the region was responsible for 5 M-class events, the largest of which was a M1.8 flare on 13-Feb-2014 at 01:40 UT. Several mixed polarity spots are still visible within the region. For instruments with a limited FOV, the main flare site appears to be centered on the elongated PSL within the large mixed-polarity spot in the North-East portion of the region. As NOAA 11974 appears to be growing more unstable, the Major Flare Watch will continue for at least the following 24 hours. Further M-class activity is expected with a chance for a high M-class event.

The position of NOAA 11974 on 13-Feb-2014 at 18:30 UT is: S12W22, ( 361", -97" )
