Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message. NOAA 13615 produced a number of flares, including an X1.1 at 20:50 UT yesterday. NOAA 13615 still shows signs of significant flux as it continues to transit the southwest limb and is persistently producing flares of significant magnitude. The Major Flare Watch will continue with further C- and M-class activity expected and a chance for additional isolated (potentially partially occulted) >M5 activity in the next 24-48 hours. The position of NOAA 13615 on 29-Mar-2024 at 12:30 UT is: S13W76, (909",-188") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
