Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sun, 11 May 2014 18:18:16 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA region 12056 has started to show signs of decay (decreasing in both spot area and number of spots over the past 24 hours), while remaining classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group. This region has continued to produce C-class activity since the last message with NOAA 12059 (an negative polarity alpha/H-type sunspot group) also emerging beside the positive trailing spots of NOAA 12056. More C-class flares are expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance for a low M-class flare. The position of NOAA 12056 on 11-May-2014 at 17:30 UT is: N05E06, ( -104", 133" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
