Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sat, 10 May 2014 11:53:44 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. NOAA region 12056 has increased slightly in spot area and number of spots over the past 24 hours, but has been reclassified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group. This region produced the largest flare event since the last message, a C8.7 on 10-May-2014 at 06:51 UT. At this time we are ending the MM#003 Major Flare Watch as 12056 has slowed in flux emergence and it has been confirmed no delta exists. Further C-class flares are expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance for a low M-class flare. The position of NOAA 12056 on 10-May-2014 at 11:00 UT is: N04E25, ( -400", 115" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
