MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Target region NOAA 1959 has decayed somewhat but is still currently displaying a D-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. The minor mixed polarity is located in the trailing sunspots. 1959 produced a few minor C-class events since the last message. The largest was a C2.7 at 01/19/06:57 UT. Additional C-class activity is possible in the next 24 hour period.

The position of NOAA 1959 on January 19 at 16:30 UT is: S25E58 (Solar X = -750", Solar Y = -370")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
