Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity is at a moderate level. NOAA 11944 remains the largest and most complex region on disk, displaying a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group classification. This region has maintained both sunspot area and number of spots since yesterday's message, but only produced low C-class flares over the past 24 hours. The MM003 Major Flare Watch will continue for another 24 hours, as 11944 retains the potential for additional flaring above the M5 level.

The position of NOAA 11944 on 9-Jan-2014 at 13:00 UT is:

S09W24, ( 396", -92" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
