MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 1944 was the source of numerous C-class events and two minor M-class events in the past 24 hours. The largest event was an M1.3 at 01/04/10:25 UT. 1944 is currently one of the largest regions of Solar Cycle 24. The large leader sunspot is significantly decayed in magnetic complexity but mixed polarities are located within the intermediate and trailing portions of the F-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. Additional low-level M-class activity expected with the chance of an event =/>M5 in the next 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 1944 on January 04 at 16:30 UT is: S09E43 (Solar X = -659", Solar Y = -110")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
