Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity has decreased slightly since the last message. An unnumbered region near the South East limb produced the largest flare that was a C7.7 flare at 05:31 UT today. This region also produced a C5.8 flare and 4 low-C flares, where EUV images show dynamic activities. Today the target shall switch to this limb region. Yesterday’s target region NOAA 13571 was only a source of 3 low-level flares, with signs of decay. Further C-class activities are expected, with a low-M flare likely in the coming 24-48 hours. The approximate position of the target on 3-Feb-2024 at 11:30 UT is: S16E88 (-950", -300") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
