MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The regions on the disk are decaying. The target will switch from NOAA 1254 to a new region located on the east limb. The new region is displaying bright surges in H-alpha. It was the source of two B-class events. The largest was a B5.4 at 07/23/14:49 UT. Additional B-class events expected in the next 24 hour period. There is a slight chance of a C-class event if the region continues in growth phase.

The position of the target on July 23 at 14:50 UT is: N19E89 (Solar X = -893", Solar Y = 305")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
